Tabata Sprints

Thanks to Jaeger for getting me into the Burpee challenge, otherwise I'd have done nothing these last couple of weeks. Even so, the beginning of the BC isn't all that challenging so I really need to get my ass in gear. With that in mind, I ran down to the old soccer HoF for some much needed work.

3:30 Rest

I ran like I had lead booties on today and the cold air burned my lungs way more than it should have. So as to punish myself for my sluggish ways, I set my timer to beep every 75 seconds and implemented the following rule on the run home: Every time the alarm goes off, stop running and do 3 burpees (yes, more burpees!).

Football!

While I was down hanging with Jude for New Year's, he dragged me out to a pickup football game near Pound Ridge. It's been a few years, but it was a lot of fun nonetheless. Unfortunately, they didn't throw a lot of balls my way on offense since they didn't know me at all. Fortunately, they threw a lot of balls my way on defense since they didn't know me at all. I finished the day with 4 interceptions, including a pick 6, and a bunch of pass break-ups, compared to 2 receptions, 1 a Hail Mary and one a short dump off to avoid a sack.
