Demolition Man, Day 2

I came back to finish the job. I took out the last wall in the kitchen, and with the help of Jesse who's definitely a glutton for punishment, gutted the master and downstairs baths as well. At this point, my forearms and shoulders are definitely feeling it. We spent an inordinate amount of time swinging sledge hammers, wrecking bars, and pickaxes and hauling garbage cans full of debris and tossing it up and over a 6 foot dumpster wall. Such fun!

Demolition Man, Day 1

I spent the day up at our new house tearing out the kitchen, one upstairs bathroom, and most of the walls on the first floor with the help of Josh and Jesse. By the end of the day, we had the place pretty well gutted and the 30 yard dumpster 3/4 full.

Hiking _MY_ Land

My brother, his wife, and I went and walked a small part of the 72 acres that we now called home. It was fairly slow going as there isn't much in the way of paths, aside from the occasional game trail and a few logging trails towards the top of the property. All told, we hiked for about two hours to the top of the ridge and back down.
